PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Hale and Field together comprise one school on two campuses with grades K-4 at Hale, and 5-8 at Field

MIDDLE SCHOOL: Building on a solid foundation, Hale/Field continues a strong emphasis on academics. We offer a comprehensive core curriculum in language arts, math, science and social studies. Our math program is designed for all students to be ready for algebra in grade 8. We require basic enrichment skills time for our students to further strengthen reading and math skills. Our elective opportunities include visual, vocal and instrumental arts, Spanish, media technology and physical education. Other components incorporated into our program include advisory, Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), special education support as well as the citywide autism program.

EXTENDED-DAY ACTIVITIES: Academic support programs, middle grades athletic program, Math Masters, Math League, Science Bowl, student council, Girls in Engineering, Math and Science (GEMS), Guys in Science and Engineering (GISE), Minneapolis Kids program for Field students in grades 5-6
