PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) prepares middle school students for college through organization, writing and note-taking strategies, tutorials and college campus visits
  • Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS)
  • Instruction and support services are provided to all students in a collaborative, team-teaching model focused on developing reading and math skills
  • Our media center lab has 30 computers, in addition to computers in every classroom
  • Students wear uniforms which reflect the school colors and positively enhance school spirit, safety and security
  • Middle School Athletics, Lead Peace, Mentoring/Tutoring Program
  • The arts: technology, strings, traditional band, art

EXTENDED-DAY ACTIVITIES: A variety of academic and enrichment opportunities are provided through Beacons after-school program and other agencies; all activities align with the school’s academic programming. The Beacons program and Cityview work collaboratively throughout the day as well as after school providing a seamless continuum of learning.
